Fedro is a Social Cooperative created in February, 2005. Fedro aims at promoting social integration and the local territory through culture, with its multiple aspects, thanks to a strict bond with the city’s and the province’s social fabric. With that in mind, our cooperative has established links with the public sector (health system included), with several associations and cooperative organizations, with several private organizations and with musicians, writers, artists and sportsmen that are either locally or nationally or internationally well known. Fedro fosters social integration and cultural exchanges between people from other areas (near and far), through cultural enterprises such as independent publishing, exhibits, literary and musical events. The events conceived and organized by Fedro are mostly free of charge, are normally planned on a multiyear basis and aim at becoming a regular happening on the cultural agenda.
The Blues in Piacenza Association, officially born in January, 2007, aims at offering a chance to share a common passion to all blues lovers and fans and at promoting music in all its aspects, with its focus on live performances. The Association’s main goal is to foster any contact among musicians, to help the positive vibrations of Piacenza’s musical environments come out and to foster an exchange of information and musical knowledge, also with reference to the record industry and to the musical publishing. Blues in Piacenza organizes concerts and events in Piacenza and in its province, sometimes in joint venture with other local organizations.
